Amidst the backdrop of the largest lake in Kansas and beautiful Flint Hills there are a selection of RV campgrounds (61 sites) impressive custom-made cabins (25) set among tall cedars and oaks, a lodge facility with hotel style rooms (9) adjacent to a boat ramp, Pacific Yurts (3) overlooking rocky shores, and all with porches and green spaces waiting for you!

Reservations (accepted one year in advance) fill quickly on weekends and Holidays. If weekdays or Spring/Fall/Winter are possible, there are ample opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun!

Weekly Cabin Rentals

Unwind and indulge in a getaway at Acorns Resort in the comfort of a beautiful 6-person cabin set-aside in the Summer for weekly rentals at a discounted rate. Summer weekly check-ins are Saturdays (daily reservations welcome from October to April). Ideal for families, friends and pets, each cabin is fully furnished and includes a well-equipped kitchen, heat/AC, 3 beds, living room, full bathroom, wi-fi and cable TV, as well as outdoor picnic tables, BBQ grills and fire rings. Each cabin has easy access to a nature trail, swimming pool (seasonal), beaches, restaurant, boat rentals and more. Long-term discounted stays are also welcome!

Daily and Weekend Lodging Options

Escape into nature at the lake at Acorns Resort for a day (weekdays) or weekend (2 night minimum) or holiday (3 night minimum). We have many cabins, lodge rooms and yurts of varying sizes (from 1-5 bedrooms each). Each of our cabins offers a well-equipped kitchen, heat/AC, living room, bathroom, wi-fi and cable TV, and many boast porches overlooking the lake. Our lodge rooms are spacious and host 2 queen size beds, full bathroom and kitchenette. Our yurts are lakeside glamping at its best with heat/AC and electricity. Picnic tables, BBQ grills and fire rings are included with each cabin, lodge room or yurt. All lodging options have easy access to a nature trail, swimming pool (seasonal), beaches, restaurant, boat rentals and more. Long-term discounted stays are also welcome!

Limestone Houses

Acorns Resort also offers off-resort properties. Maple Grove is 1 mile from the resort and is a multi-level 3 bedroom/2 bath beautifully renovated limestone schoolhouse with a large yard and mature trees perfect for picnics, campfires, relaxation, small reunions and weddings. The Elk House is 20 miles south at Acorns Wild (an elk ranch) and is a 1 bedroom (plus a queen pull out in the living room), 1 bath limestone historic home built in 1885, with all of today's comforts and conveniences. The Elk House also offers event space upstairs for groups up to 30 people and boasts rock walls, huge windows, bamboo ceilings and antique wedding tables sure to make your event stand out in experience and photos. Both of our houses offer easy access to outdoor activities. Long-term discounted stays are also welcome!
