Join us for a day of fall fun! We're transforming our resort into a hub of excitement with a variety of free and affordable activities for everyone including crafts, games, music and food. From a vendor market to scenic pontoon boat tours, come create unforgettable memories with us!

Discover hidden treasures and unique finds at our outdoor vendor market! In the event of inclement weather, the market may need to be relocated to another area of the resort or canceled.

Scavenger Hunt


Embark on an adventure across our resort with a scavenger hunt! Teams (or individuals) can register at the office from 10:00AM to 3:00PM to get their passport and rule sheet. When finished, bring your passports back to the office to enter a drawing for fantastic prizes. 

Prizes will be drawn at 5:00PM.

Pontoon Boat Rides


Enjoy a relaxing cruise around our side of the lake for a quick trip around the point. On the way you'll see yurts, cabins, wildlife, and more!

Tours are first come, first served. Visit the boat dock and use our sign-up sheet to secure your spot. 
In the event of bad weather like rain or high winds, boat tours may be cancelled for guest safety.

Hayrack Rides


Hayrack rides are a fun fall tradition! Seated on a cozy hay bale, enjoy an old-fashioned ride around our beautiful resort.

Wine & Whiskey Tasting


Our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the nuances and complexities of wine and whiskey with our curated tasting session. 

To ensure a personalized and enjoyable experience, this tour is limited to the first 30 participants who sign up. Must be 21+ with a valid ID to participate.

Open Kayak or Canoe


Paddle your way to fun with our free kayak and canoe sessions! Kayaking and canoeing are great ways to experience nature, reduce stress, and improve your overall mental well-being. 

Sign up will be at the boat dock for a 20 minute paddle - first come, first served. Arrive early to fill out the activity waiver.

Yoga in the Meadow


Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and embrace a moment of tranquility with Yoga in the Meadows! Let the gentle sounds of nature guide you as you flow through a series of mindful poses with our friends at Wild Unity. 

Arrive early to fill out activity waiver. Bring your own mats or towels. 

Things To Do at Acorns Resort

Self-Guided Trail Walk

From Sun Up to Sun Down

Enjoy movement and adventure with a guided trail walk on the beautiful Painted Rock Trail (2.5-3 miles). The trail winds around the resort, through the woods, bridges over ravines, along the lake, across a beach and past the Cove.

Trail is not suitable for most strollers. Children under 10 must be accompanied by family or friend over the age of 14.

Checkpoint Scavenger Hunt

During Office Hours

Explore the fun at Acorns Resort by snapping a photo of yourself with the "pose of the day" at the locations listed on the treasure map, earn colorful bracelets and after 5 hunts, become a Squirrel Club member (complete with your own mascot). Exciting for all ages! Rules can be picked up from the Gift Shop

Children will likely need the help of an adult as some items/places/animals may pose potential risk for young children who may not be aware of safety concerns.
