BACKGROUND
|
Acorns Resort has a new position opening for two (2) Office Managers. 2010 will be the 4th season of operation. The resort offers a retail camp store, 7 cabins, 9 lodge rooms, 2 RV rentals, 25 RV sites, primitive camping, 14 on-site storage units, pontoon boat and kayak rentals, 3 mi hiking trail and other resort activities. The owner of the resort, Mike Harris, also operates an off site Property Management business (approx 45 rentals). The Officer Managers will perform duties for both Acorns Resort and Property Management beginning approx 1 April 2010.

HOURS
|
Due to the high volume of daily guests from May through September, the office will operate most efficiently under a job share system (i.e., one office manager works 9am to 9pm Sun, Mon and Tues and the other works 9am to 9pm Thur, Fri and Sat). However, depending on schedule requirements of most qualified applicants, hours/days are open to discussion. Both positions will be required to work weekends and holidays (with specific arrangements for alternating possible with coordination). During the months of October through April, a maximum of 40 hrs/week (8am-5pm) is expected and only 1 office manager may be needed during these months.

GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION
|
Independent office management for Acorns Resort and BZ Boys Enterprises (property management) in a non smoking office. These are non-supervisory positions, reporting directly to the owner. Positions will be the primary POCs for both businesses, handling all matters relating to office organization, customer service, accounting, administration and marketing. He/she will also provide general office cleaning, occassional cabin/lodge cleaning and basic grounds maintenance, with other duties as assigned.

DETAILED DUTIES
|
Retail store management including ordering, stocking, inventory, cash handling, accounting and sales. Office reception including face to face and telephone, lodging/camping/reservations/property appointments, customer service, handling customer concerns, receipt of payments, database/spreadsheet and web site updates.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
|
The Acorns Resort office is a one stop shop and the office manager will normally be the only resort employee available to handle these duties. The ability to work independently, multi-task and communicate is essential. A very high level of responsibility, organization, customer service and problem solving is also key to success in this position. These skills and abilities should be evident in past work and/or life history. Proficiency in computer applications is a requirement--especially Excel and/or quick books, email and Internet applications. Familiarity with Yahoo Site builder is a plus. Boat launching skills are also a plus but not required.

COMPENSATION
|
Negotiable depending upon qualifications. Medical/Dental benefits will not be offered.
